  • Stephen Gwon

    PRESIDENT

    Stephen is a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. He plays the piano and also enjoys writing for his school's newspaper in his free time.

  • Kristen Chun

    DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

    Kristen Chun is a junior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, MA, and is currently an oboist in the New England Conservatory of Music Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. Kristen has participated in the MMEA All-State Orchestra and attended the BU Tanglewood Institute. She co-directs Pro Musica Chamber Players. In her free time, Kristen loves café hopping.

  • Hannah Chun

    DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

    Hannah, a college freshman, plays the oboe and English horn. She co-runs the Pro Musica Chamber Players. Outside of her musical pursuits, she enjoys watching movies and spending time with friends.

  • Lauryn Gong

    DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

    Lauryn Gong is currently a junior at Dover-Sherborn High School, MA. She has played piano for around seven years and done traditional dance for around ten years. She now enjoys listening to music and attending concerts. In her free time, she also enjoys painting, playing with her two cats, and hanging out with friends.

  • Victoria Park

    DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS

    Victoria is a senior at Cambridge Rindge & Latin and has been playing piano for 11 years. She is a National Chopin Scholar and has won prizes in the Bay State, SONE, MTNA, Rivera, Paderewski, and Crescendo competitions, also performing at Carnegie Weill Hall. She studies at NEC prep and has spent summers at Greenwood Music Camp and BU's Tanglewood Institute. Besides music, she also enjoys drawing and watching movies.

  • Meiya Weeks

    DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS

    Meiya is a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin. She currently plays the cello in the Boston Youth Symphony, as well as her school's string orchestra and chamber ensembles. Aside from music, she enjoys watering her plants, experiencing Cambridge sunsets, and watching stand-up comedy.

  • Henry Tushman

    LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE

    Henry Tushman is a junior at Wellesley High School. He studies piano at Rivers School Conservatory, NEC, and Cremona International Music Academy, Italy. Henry has performed the Schumann Piano Concerto and Mozart Concerto 467 with orchestra. He has performed in Royal Albert Hall, and Boston Symphony Hall. Henry loves soccer and spending time with family, friends, and his dog.

  • Ana Isabel Cardona

    Ana is a senior at CRLS. She began her music education in Venezuela’s El Sistema and is now a student at New England Conservatory as well as Boston String Academy. For the past three summers she’s attended Greenwood Music Camp. In her free time, Ana enjoys writing poetry, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.

  • Andie Zhu

    Andie is a junior at Lexington High School. She currently plays viola in NEC Prep’s CHIPS program and the Boston Youth Symphony. For the past two summers she has participated in the Bowdoin Music Festival. In her free time she likes to arrange her favorite pop songs.

  • Andrew Kim

    cello

    Andrew is a sophomore at Weston High School. He is a member of the Boston Youth Symphony, where he has served as Principal Cellist. He has won first prize in multiple competitions, including the 2022 Boston Pops Young Artist Competition. Andrew was also selected as one of 60 cellists worldwide to compete in the International Tchaikovsky Youth Competition. Andrew enjoys playing tennis and spending time with friends.

  • Angelina Fang

    Angelina is a sophomore at the Winsor School. She currently plays violin in the Boston Youth Symphony and has been part of BYSO since 2017. In addition to music, Angelina enjoys playing basketball and reading books.

  • Angie Feng

    french horn

    Angie Feng is a senior at the Noble and Greenough School. She has been playing the French horn since 4th grade, when she was first introduced to the horn at the instrument petting zoo and was instantly captivated by its unique sound. She currently performs with the Boston Youth Symphony in addition to her school's symphony orchestra and concert band. Aside from playing the horn, she enjoys participating on her school's debate and Model UN teams and hanging out with her dog, Colby!

  • Anna Kehayova

    violin

    Anna is a freshman at CRLS and has been playing violin since she was 5 years old. She has been a member of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras since first grade, joining the Boston Youth Symphony in 2020. She also plays in two piano trios, coached at the New England Conservatory, and has attended Rivers Summer Music, Berkshire Summer Music, and Greenwood in the summers. In her free time, Anna loves to read, write, do crafts, bake and spend time with her friends.

  • Annabel Abdelal

    Annabel is a junior at the Noble and Greenough School in Dedham. She performs with multiple school-organized ensembles including a chamber group and a symphony orchestra. She has spent the last two summers as a CIT at a camp for young musicians at the Rivers School Conservatory. She has transcribed the string part for “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen to perform in school this year. In her free time, she likes to play soccer, softball, and dance.

  • Anthony Babu

    Anthony Babu is a sophomore at Concord-Carlisle High School. He has been reading music from two years old and playing trumpet for six years. He performed in MMEA’s Senior District and All-State Orchestras, and was a semifinalist in the National Trumpet Competition Junior Solo Division. When he isn’t playing music, Anthony enjoys competing in debate and extemporaneous speaking.

  • Anyuu Inomoto - Fong

    Anyuu is a junior at Concord Carlisle highschool. Currently in BYS, she has been a member of BYSO for 8 years. In addition, she has experience playing at BUTI and has won multiple competitions such as MTNA, American Protege plus many others. Besides music Anyuu plays softball, enjoys outdoor activities alongside being with her friends and family and connecting with her Japanese heritage.

  • Ashley Gong

    oboe

    Ashley Gong is a junior at Harvard studying Computer Science and Classics. She is an oboist for the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra and has played for other ensembles on campus such as the Mozart Society Orchestra and the Harvard Pops Orchestra. Ashley studies with Amanda Hardy and John Ferrillo, principal oboe of the Boston Symphony. She was also formerly the president of Continuo! In her free time, Ashley loves running, reading, and trying new food!

  • Asia Foland

    cello

    Asia is a junior at Wellesley High School and a cellist in the Boston Youth Symphony. She was previously a member of the Rivers Youth Symphony as well as the New England Summer Orchestra Institute and loves to play chamber music (especially with friends!). If she's not practicing cello, you can find her discovering random piano pieces on musescore.com instead of playing her assigned repertoire or stalking people's Spotify listening activity to procrastinate.

  • Audrey Sun

    Audrey Sun is a recent Phillips Academy Andover graduate and is taking a gap year to study music before starting college. She began playing violin at the age of three. Over the years, she has been a member of orchestras such as the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Youth Philharmonic at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. She loves chamber music and was part of the Chamber Music Intensive Performance Seminar at NEC for two years. She has spent past summers as a student of the Aspen Music Festival and Greenwood Music Camp. She also loves reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Ayla Lam

    Ayla Lam is an eighth grade student at Jonas Clarke Middle School and has been studying violin and piano since she was four years old. Her violin and piano performance have been awarded top prizes in many competitions since 2018. An avid orchestral musician, she participated in the BYSO and at age of thirteen, she received an invitation to join the BYS orchestra of BYSO. She also spent the past summer in the Meadowmount School of Music. Outside of violin and piano, she enjoys figure skating, ballet, reading, horse-riding and is passionate about cats.

  • Calvin Patti

    Calvin has been studying piano since he was five. He is a prize winner in the 2021 MMTA judged festival for Piano. He started cello as part of the CRLS instrumental program in fifth grade. He is a member of BYS in Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. In the summer of 2023, he attended Greenwood music camp. Beginning in spring of 2023, he launched music tutoring program for middle school students at CPS and a pilot program at the Haggerty school for fifth grade instrument students. He loves solving Rubix Cubes and preforming magic tricks.

  • Catalina Godoy

    Catalina is a sophomore at Cambridge Ringe and Latin. Catalina started by playing the violin at the age of five but discovered that she would much rather play lower lines. She has played the cello since she was in third grade where she played in her school orchestra. She goes to music camp every summer. Catalina often accompanies her mom's students on the basso continuo. She also enjoys playing the viola da gamba reading in all kinds of different clefs. During the year, you will find her rowing on the Charles River and running in the woods.

  • Chloe Zhong

    Chloe is a senior at Weston High School and flutist of 7 years. She has served as principal flute of the MMEA All-State Orchestra and Boston Youth Symphony, but still can’t count rests for her life. Outside of flute, Chloe enjoys impulse buying Pokémon cards playing fetch with her tiny dog Mocha.

  • Connor McClennen

    Connor is a junior at Wellesley High School. He plays the Bb Clarinet in his school band, as well as the Rivers Youth Wind Ensemble. Additionally, he enjoys playing in a band with his friends over the summer. Outside of music, Connor enjoys playing and watching volleyball and he is a part-time programming teacher.

  • Ella Kim

    Ella is a freshman at Harvard University and has been playing the violin since she was five years old. She has served as concertmaster of the Boston Youth Symphony and MMEA All-State orchestras, and was selected for NAfME’s All-National Honor Orchestra in 2020 and 2021. In her free time, Ella enjoys playing tennis, solving crossword puzzles, and walking her dog.

  • Ethan Jiang

    Ethan is a sophomore at Chelmsford High School. He has played the Tenor Saxophone in the MMEA all-state band along with various other ensembles. In his free time, Ethan also enjoys playing violin in the NEC prep ensembles, soccer, and video games with friends.

  • Ethan Kasparian Weisman

    saxophone/clarinet

    Ethan Kasparian Weisman is a senior at The Rivers School. He is a student of Ken Radnofsky and Lihi Haruvi at the NEC Preparatory School, where he participates in the Youth Jazz Orchestra as lead alto, as well as the Honors Wind Quintet and Senior MYWE on clarinet. When not on stage, he enjoys learning languages and drinking boba tea.

  • Ethan Liu

    Ethan is a junior at Wellesley High School. He has been singing for over six years and is currently a baritone. He has performed multiple arias from "Figaro" under guidance from his vocal teacher, Yeghishe. In school, he sings in the Rice Street choir and secured the bass solo in the Spring Concert. He is super excited to join Continuo!

  • Graham Won Lee

    Graham is a Senior at Buckingham Browne and Nichols. He is a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and previously was a member of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. Graham has also participated in the Interlochen and BUTI summer camps over the past several years. Outside of music, Graham enjoys writing for his school's newspaper in his free time.

  • Isabella Kong

    Bella is a sophomore at the Noble and Greenough School and has been playing the piano since the age of 4. She attended both the Colburn Piano Seminar and Interlochen Music camp last summer and has won prizes in various competitions. Besides music, she also enjoys crew and participating in her school's Model UN team.

  • Jade Boyer

    Jade is a sophomore at Chelmsford High School. She is a member of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and Chelmsford's All-Town Wind Ensemble. In the past, she has enjoyed playing in the MMEA district and all-state ensembles, the Boston Flute Academy, and her school's performance of "Legally Blonde". Aside from playing the flute, she enjoys tennis, journaling, and photography.

  • James Blanc

    James in a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High school. He’s been playing jazz drums for around 6 years. In his free time he enjoys rock climbing, graphic design, and spending time with frequents and family.

  • Jared Wang

    clarinet

    Jared Wang is a senior at Newton South High School and clarinetist with the Boston Youth Symphony. He has also played flute and piccolo with the New England Conservatory Summer Orchestra Institute and tenor saxophone with the MMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble. In his free time, he enjoys reading, studying chemistry, weightlifting, and traveling locally with his family.

  • Joanna Zhao

    Joanna Zhao, a sophomore at Lexington High School, began studying piano at the age of five. She has won top prizes at competitions such as International Grande Music Competition, Bay State Piano Contest, and more. She has also played the flute since fifth grade. Aside from music, Joanna is on her school’s mock trial team and enjoys painting and hanging out with her friends.

  • Jordan Gwon

    Jordan Gwon is a fourteen-year-old violist, currently attending Cambridge Rindge and Latin in Massachusetts as a freshman. She played in the 2022 and 2023 MMEA Eastern District Junior Festival, won 2nd place for the American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music in 2022, and is a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Other than her passion for music, Jordan likes to draw, write and read.

  • Joyce Do

    Joyce is a junior at The Rivers School and has been playing piano for 9 years. She is a member of the Rivers Conservatory and has won prizes in the Rivera, MMTA, and Musicale competitions. Joyce attended the BU Tanglewood Institute and has been awarded the David Beyer Piano Scholarship. Beyond music, she participates in club lacrosse and enjoys reading and running.

  • Julia Slovotski

    Julia is a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin high school. She currently plays violin with the Boston Youth Symphony and the BYSO chamber program. She has also been to musical education camps such as the Aria camp and High Peaks festival over the summer. In school, Julia serves as the concertmaster of the school orchestra and as the president of the chamber music club. In her free time, she enjoys watching comedy specials with her dog and painting watercolor portraits of her friends.

    June Kim is a senior at Newton South High School. She started playing the viola at the age of 10. She has played with the Rivers Youth Orchestra and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. In 2022, she won the 2nd Place Prize in the American Protégé International Competition. In her free time, she loves participating in her school's student government and speech & debate team.

  • Kaitlyn Shi

    Kaitlyn is a junior attending Noble and Greenough School and plays the violin in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. Kaitlyn’s favorite aspect of orchestra is the opportunity of meeting new people and bringing joy to others through music. Outside of violin, Kaitlyn enjoys binge-watching C-dramas, baking, and traveling.

    Laura Wang is a senior at Lexington High School. She has played violin in the Boston Youth Symphony since 2019 and does chamber music at the The Rivers School Conservatory. Outside of music she also enjoys writing poetry, reading, and baking bread.

    Megan is a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. She plays flute in the Boston Youth Symphony at BYSO.

  • Michael Atkin

    Michael is currently a senior at Natick High School. In addition to playing trumpet with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras, he has enjoyed experiences with BU's Tanglewood Institute and Boston Ballet School's 'Next Generation' orchestra. In his spare time, Michael enjoys learning the accordion and walking his dog, Chloe.

    Noa is a junior at Brookline High School. She has been playing violin for 12 years and is in her eighth year being part of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras. She also participates in the Chamber Music Intensive Performance Seminar at NEC. Along with violin, Noa likes to sing and is in an acapella group at her school.

    Noah is a senior at Wayland High School. He is part of NEC’s Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and has previously played in NEC’s Youth Brass Ensemble. Noah has also participated at MMEA Allstate and Regional festivals. In his free time he enjoys swimming, hiking, and hanging out with friends.

    Ryan is a senior at Natick High. This is his 9th year playing horn, and his 4th year in BYSO. He also plays in his school honors wind ensemble. Aside from music, Ryan enjoys biking, watching documentaries, and petting his cat and rabbit.

  • Sam Fasciano

    Sam is a junior at Newton North High School. he became obsessed with cello after hearing it once when he was five and has played ever since then. Sam is a member of the Boston Youth Symphony, Camerata Strings and is an avid chamber musician. When not playing the cello, Sam enjoys going out with friends, taking walks, and eating good food.

  • Tristyn Liu

    Tristyn, a UMass Boston freshman, was bassist for CRLS World Jazz Ensemble, Big Band, and Percussion Ensemble. He also served as principal percussionist for CRLS Orchestra and technical director for Percussion Ensemble. He is currently a percussionist in BPYO. His performances span Starlight Square, The Lilypad, Symphony Hall, and more. Tristyn was also classically trained in cello for over 10 years. Outside of music, he enjoys cooking and ice skating.

  • Amara Simpson

    Amara is a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin school. She has sang solo and with a band at several assemblies and performances, and was in the CRLS Traveling Chorus last year. In her free time she loves to write, hang out with friends, and listen to music.
